Welcome to another post to my 12 Days of Anime! For those of you that just spotted this, the 12 Days of Anime is a simple and small celebration to celebrate all the good and awesome anime that we received last year and in the past!
Today I will be talking about all the upcoming anime that I’m excited about that may air this year, I’m saying “may air this year” as with last year there were aload of anime that was delayed due to the pandemic, and I think that will be the case this year, but I will list them and talk about them anyway, I’m hoping to actually see some of them air this year (or next year), sadly there’s a few that I’m not getting my hopes up over…looking at you Ten Count….but I can dream right??
Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari Season 2.
I’ve been planning on picking up the first season as Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari just really appeals to me but it’s only after I’ve seen the trailer for the second season that made me make that decision. It just really appealed to me and ticked most of the boxes. So yeah, totally excited over season 2 and season 3 airing this year and seeing Raphtalia and Naofumi again! (I better get on a watch the first season shouldn’t I?).
Ten Count.
Ten Count is something that I am forever waiting for, it was announced to air back in 2020 but due to the pandemic was then postponed and no official date was given, to this day I don’t know whether or not it will air this year or next year, I’m slipping it here in the hopes that it will air at some point in 2021 or that we get some new information about the anime adaption.
Boku no Hero Academia Season 5.
Okay, I’m a big Boku no Hero Academia fan! I am so excited about season 5 airing this year and seeing what happens next. I know that the manga got dark all of a sudden and hit everyone in the feels pretty badly lately so I may have to have my tissues ready for this season.
Shaman King (2021).
Now this is something I am screaming about and cannot wait to watch! I watched the original Shaman King anime waaaay back in my teens, just seeing this get a remake had me dancing like a loon! I so cannot wait to see You and Anna in action again. Also hearing the voice of Takayama Minami again is something I cannot wait for!
Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon S.
I so cannot wait for this, I watched the first season and loved it so much! I really cannot wait to see what is in store for Tooru this time. What antics will she get up to with Kobayashi this time?
Shiroi Suna no Aquatope.
This is a gamble for me as I don’t know much about the anime at all, but I do like picking up some slice of life anime every now and then. The story revolves around Kukuru Misakino, an 18-year-old high school girl working in an aquarium, meets Fuuka Miyazawa, a former idol who lost her place in Tokyo and escaped. Fuuka will spend her days in the aquarium with her own thoughts in mind. However, the crisis of closing is approaching for the aquarium, as the girls explore their dreams and reality, loneliness and friends, bonds and conflicts.
Skate-Leading☆Stars.
This is something that I have already picked up, I loved that Yuri on Ice was based around the sport of figure skating and so needed something to fill in that void that Yuri on Ice left in my life, and this seems to be doing the trick.
Show By Rock!! Stars!!
Another anime that I’m currently watching, I’ve been dying to watch this for ages and am so excited to finally be doing that! I loved the previous seasons to Show By Rock so much and am quite enjoying this one so far.
Fruits Basket The Final.
I am not looking forward to this at all, I am slowly trucking my way through season one to Fruits Basket and know that somewhere down the line you end up getting sucker punched in the feels so much you just bawl your eyes out and become a right snotty mess. I am not ready for Fruits Basket to end!!! 😦
Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song.
Finally there’s Vivy, I spotted this on twitter earlier in the month and just thought it looked good, checked out the trailer for the anime and fell in love with it. I really cannot wait to check this out and find out what the anime is about, at the moment it’s a complete mystery.
There’s alot more anime that I really want to pick up but so far these are at the top of my list. I really need to get through my backlog of anime that I have stowed away on my PC before adding even more to the pile. Anyway what anime are you all looking forward too this year?
