Now for something a little different and fun! I was tagged by Mallow over at Secluded Observation to create my own Top 10 Favorite Anime Openings and Ending list, I was going to make this a completely separate list but thought that it would be more fun to just add it into the 12 Days of Anime event instead!
So without further ado, Here is my Top 10 List!
- Yakusoku wa Iranai – Maaya Sakamoto – The Vision of Escaflowne.
This is an old classic from a golden oldie that I just love. The Vision of Escaflowne is something that I go back to each year for a rewatch and I never tire of hearing Maaya Sakamoto singing Yakusoku wa Iranai. Heck Escaflowne is the one anime that got me into Maaya Sakamoto period, through her voice acting as Hitomi Kanzaki and the opening.
2. Just Communication – Two-Mix – Mobile Suit Gundam Wing
And here we are still in the 90’s, I think everyone is familiar with Two-Mix’s Just Communication from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing but wait there is more….
3. Rhythm Emotion – Two Mix – Mobile Suit Gundam Wing.
Told you there was more, bet you’re catching on that I have a bad obsession with Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. 😂 Here’s a fun fact actually that strangely ties Gundam Wing and Escaflowne together, not only are they done by the same studio, Sunrise, but the voice actress behind Dilandau Albatou is none other then Minami Takayama, who is a member of the pop duo Two-Mix, so yeah, there you have it!
4. Open Your Mind ~Chiisana Hane Hirogete~ by Yoko Ishida – Ah! Megami-sama!
I mentioned Ah! Megami-sama! in a previous post and just had to add Open Your Mind by Yoko Ishida to the list. It’s the one track that has alot of sentimental value attached to it.
5. Tomoshibi no Manimani by Nao Toyama – Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi
Another fave of mine, and another anime I need to finish off! 😂 (I have a bad habit of not finishing anime that I started.) Tomoshibi no Manimani is just a gem, it’s upbeat and knows how to get stuck in your head, I love how Nao Toyama literally adds some traditional japanese instruments into the track.
6. Lay Your Hands On Me by Boom Boom Satellites – Kiznaiver
Now this is such an upbeat and fast paced track! I just adore Boom Boom Satellites Lay Your Hands On Me so much. It’s still quite sad that the band isn’t continuing due to the death of the lead vocalist but atleast I can pay homage to Boom Boom Satellite through this track.
7. “SPLASH FREE.” by STYLE FIVE – Free! Iwatobi Swim Club
I enjoy how upbeat the track is and just seeing the main cast letting their hair down and enjoying themselves is something I love about this.
8. Kesenai Tsumi by Nana Kitade – Fullmetal Alchemist
This is another classic that I love, the art direction to Nana Kitade’s Kesenai Tsumi is just amazing and really just out of the box, which leads to…
9. Lost in Paradise feat. AKLO by ALI – Jujutsu Kaisen
Jujutsu Kaisen’s ending, the art direction to this was just as amazing as FMA’s. I enjoy watching the ending, seeing the cast just having a fun time and dancing to a very upbeat track is something that brings a smile to my face.
10. Secret Base ~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~ (10 years after ver.) by Ai Kayano, Haruka Tomatsu, & Saori Hayami – Ano Hana
I adore Secret Base to Ano Hana, it’s so relaxing, soft and slower paced then all the others and just compliments the anime so much.
And there you have it my Top 10 Anime Openings and Endings, there are so much more that I love and just go back to listening too all the time so it was quite hard for me to choose just 10!
As for tagging others, I haven’t discovered any new or small blogs yet, I’m still in the middle of trying to play catch up on mine at the moment, but if you wanna join in and list your favorite top 10 anime openings and ending then feel free to do so!
I do want to thank Mallow for tagging me in this, it has given me the drive to blog more often, I never felt like I wasn’t part of the anime blogging community, everyone welcomed me with open arms into the community, but thankyou for tagging me!! ♡♡♡♡
